Hi PhilB,

Might I suggest we all go over to Jerry's site where everyone is welcome (http://www.newcmldrug.com/)? It's a great site and certainly doesn't have all these bells and whistles to deal with. I will most assuredly not be giving any more donations to LLS to sponsor something that the patients don't like and can't use! LLS you have my permission to delete my board membership anytime you wish! It also might be a good idea for you to poll your patients to see what they want before taking such drastic actions with your SUPPORT BOARDS in the future!

LLS didn't have an option on this.  The vendor they license the software from made the upgrade and in order to maintain their support contract, they had to upgrade.  I work in tech and see this all the time.  It can be frustrating, but it is worth noting that all the old functionality is still there, it just looks a bit different and after you figure out where to go to get it things are pretty much the same.  You do not need to use the social media features, in most cases it is not necessary to friend or follow someone.  Just go to the CML board and go through the threads like you always did.

Jerry's site is wonderful, but if you recall Jerry's site just went through a major transformation in recent months.  He had much older technology that became susceptible to spam attacks.  He had to take his site down for a few weeks and completely rebuild it with new software.  It looks nothing like it used to, people had to get used to it, and his traffic still does not not seem to have gotten back to the level it was - although I think it is starting to pick up again.

Unfortunately with technology, change is a constant and no one likes change.  After some use, this new style will feel comfortable and it won't be much of a big deal anymore - try to stay with us, the support here is what keeps us coming back, not the functionality of the forum software.

I thinks it's available only for a period of time after you post.

LaterEdit: Ah, it's away you're right.
