Does anyone knows and can anybody really predict the outcome of a long term Tasigna use?

I watched two videos of two the Italian doctors who are so confident about Tasigna,

they even hope that big majority of patients might be able to stop all their medication after reaching

a major milestones and maitaning it for few years.

Is it really that possible?

Well, my Tasigna use lasted from Dec. to August. Something happened in July or August that caused the Tasigna to stop working. My CML went into blast crisis and I added ALL as a bonus. So while the side effects of Tasigna were tolerable and the scheduling was OK, I wonder if my leukemia might have been better served on one of the other drugs. We won't ever know. My onc has some people on Tasigna since it has been out, with no problems. But not me. Next stop for me, BMT!

Best wishes.

Yes, chronic phase from December to mid-August, when I became ill. Onc put me right in the hospital and started chemo.

All I want for Christmas is my transplant!!!

Again I'm so sorry that you have to go thru this,

I really hope that BMT will be successfull for you and please stay strong.

Have you ever reached any major milestones while you were taking the Tasigna,

was your doctor checking you regulary?
