Ok now here is what really gets me going. I had did my share of big america bussiness. My background was specialty pharmacy , home infusion and oncology. I purchase all the drugs and did all the contracting. I left my old job to work with my friends in a start no insurnace for us until we get it up and running so all is good the business is growing I get CML and after being a way for a month my friends told me I had to be back to work? and I need to be there the full week mon-fri. They force me out. I get on Medicad Wow talk aout hard to figure out but with the help of my wife we get it done. My back is crazy bad in pain nobody can help me i go from one doctor to the next. I am now taking a lot of different drugs for pain for this for that . My oncologist does not want to deal with back pain (he is a great guy just swamped) So im going to the ER twice a week for diludid and valum push. In one week 3 of my doctors appointments are canceld. I am at an all time low in my life. I go drinking after I take a lot of different pills for my pain. The rest of the night is like black outs then i am up then black outs. It ends with me in a drak house the dogs gone the tv is broken all my guns are on the bed and my collection of swords are out . I am really confused and I hear a voice shout out police come out with your hands up???? I walk out and there is a swat team in my house a gun with shoot gun a guy with machine gun a guy with a pistol drawn all so down i go. I get outside there is a k9 unit and 5 more guys .  I spent 2 days Away the stress of not having a job my back pain and just the feeling of being on medicad me . It was just to much. Dont get me wrong all the guys i saw that took medicad are people who really want to help people there are not making money the lose money seeing me. The spinal doctor helped me because thats is job every injection he gives me it cost him 60.00

Its been 2 months since the whole gun thing my back is way better my drug list is now keep in check by one doctor (every doctor i saw gave me a differen drug)

An guy a meet a long time again and remained friends with flew me to Chicago and gave me a job. YES I work form home and am looking to get better insurance.

My point I should have let you guys know I was down before I got on the crazy train , all cancer is a bad thing and last there are still good people in the world. Company that hired me is Sagent Pharmaceuticals. My faith has been some what restored but I will never know why i got Cml  and I guess at this point it really does not matter.

Damn Don, sounds like you have been through a really tough time lately, I'm real sorry to hear that.  Cancer sucks and it can destroy lives, but as you are seeing, there can still be good and there are some good people around (just seems like not as many).  Those guys who pushed you out sound like some real big pieces of sh**.  Sadly it doesn't surprise me.  Nonetheless going all Deniro in Taxi Driver doesn't do anyone any good!  I'm sure you already know that.  Sounds like the mix of the drugs, the alcohol, and the stress/depression took you for a real ride.  Hopefully no one was hurt and you can move on from this and try to get back to a place where you are a little more at peace.  It is so ridiculous how you can work your whole life, be a part of the system and then when something like this happens, there's no net - you have to lose everything before anyone will step in and help.  Sounds like the guy who hired you is a decent guy and hopefully being back to work will help get things on track for you.

I don't have any advice on the back issue, that just sucks, plain and simple.

Try your best to roll with the punches and if you ever feel like things are getting that bad again, I hope you'll reach out here.  We can't fix your problems but I know the people here listen and we understand.  Sometimes that's enough to get you back from the edge.

Anyway - I hope things continue going better.  If nothing else, appreciate the fact that even when things are the darkest, they seem to come around and tomorrow can often be a better day - (I should write greeting cards)!

Take care Don.....
