Hi everyone....I started my sprycel 2 weeks ago on 100 mg.  I had to stop taking it for 4 days due to my wbc counts going down and fluid retention.  I just started 80 mg last night but still have the sever headaches.  Is it safer to take tylenol or ibuprofen with the medicine?

Thanks in advance for your responses....

Tylenol is just too hard on the liver to take with TKI drugs.  Ibuprofen or aspirin for headaches, Naproxen for body aches is what my doc has recommended.

I agree with Trey here.  I found out the hard way with Acetimetophen, twice.  I, without thinking, took it prior to my Gleevec and ended up being keeled over for the better part of 12 hours in abdominal pain.  I avoid Aspirin as well now.  I was on it prior to Gleevec due to precursor heart disease.  I stick with Naproxen and occasionaly Ibuprofen
