Does anyone have the numbers for how many people have been diagnosed with CML? And how about current numbers/outcomes, etc?

Hi Tenderheart. This link will take you to a fact sheet published by the LLS and has great information (click on download the pdf). Remember that much of what you read online may be outdated (translate that to scary mis-information). The odds are that you will live a very normal, productive life and your demise will not be due to CML.

Live well,

U.S. stats: About 4500 new cases per year, somewhere under 100,000 currently, survival stats now about 95% due to TKI drugs.

Trey,

Of course, I am nowhere near as well-read or educated as you.  If you could clarify, I would be grateful.  I have only come across readings that say it is believed that people who have a good response to Gleevec may be expected to live an avg. life span.  Is there data for the other drugs (I didn't do so well on G)?  Or are they just too new for those numbers to show any reliable trend?

Teds

The stats are based on having all 3 current drugs (and estimates/extrapolation is required).
