I have a dumb question and I tried to find the answer so I didn't have to post this.  What is the difference between a PCR test and a PCRU test?  I've seen both acronyms used here and I am confused.

PCRU is a result rather than a test.  It's short for PCR Undetectable ie the levels of disease are too low to be picked up by a PCR test.

P.S.

No dumb questions here!  This is confusing stuff.  All of the terms can be pretty overwhelming, at least at first.

Quite right, definitely no dumb questions here.  Plenty of dumb jokes and far too many dumb oncologists, but no dumb questions.

Thanks, guys.  Had my PCR test yesterday.  I am anxious to see what comes back.
