Hello everyone

Latest update - Electrolytes came back OK...nothing earth shattering.  Tried to compare to baseline and everything looks OK.  Only thing that went lower is the Creatinine (from .7 to .57 - which is the bottom end of normal)  Not sure what that measures.  The creatine kinase, total was low at 23 - 1 lower than normal...so I supposed normal.

Stress test was today.  The cardiologist said "the ticker looks great".  QT is shortened as it should be.  Heart rate was good.  Lasted 9 minutes (which is what they wanted me to do).

However, while on the treadmill, got EXTREMELY dizzy - and have been.  When the palpiations were around, I felt lightheaded.  Thankfully, the palpitations have gone away for the most part (HOORAY) but the lightheadedness and dizziness are still there when I talk for an extended period of time or walk around or try to do any physical activities with my boys.

So - for those on tasigna...anyone have dizziness or lightheadedness???  I'm still exhausted starting around 4:00 - 4:30 each day.  Been on the tasigna for about 3 months.  Also having a little achiness in my legs - nothing unbearable - but just another "hm...wonder what that's from?" thought.

I'm heading back for 3 month checkup next Friday - so the list for the hemalogolist is growing...

Thanks as always!!!

Janice

How is your blood pressure and glucose levels?  Both could cause you to feel light headed and dizzy.

Glad that overall things looked pretty good.  Hopefully over time things will become less noticeable.

Blood pressure has been fine...I believe it was 107/70 before the stress test...at the end of the stress test it was 140/80...but I think that's normal, right?  After the stress test for it to be higher?

Glucose levels have been within normal range (don't have the numbers in front of me - but they were within normal range).

I've experienced light headedness and a bit of dizzyness in my time (6 weeks) on Tasigna.  When I get up in the middle of the night the trip to the bathroom is definitely more of a challenge than it used to be.  Of course if I picked up all the stuff on the floor that might help too!  The light headedness has only happened a few times, but one night while trying to get back to sleep it lasted for what seemed like an hour.  I have normal or slightly low blood pressure and while my current doc does his own CBCs (no glucose reported), all my results from my previous doc (while on gleevec) showed glucose in normal range or even a bit high (didn't fast before blood draw).  These symptoms don't actually bother me so much, it's the back pain that refuses to let me forget about CML for a while that bugs me the most.
