Just a quick question - hopefully I didn't ask it a year ago or something - quite possible!

Almost two years since dx, and PCR is .162 - slowly, but consistently on the decline, for which I am very grateful.  My other counts have been excellent for amost a year now since my switch to Sprycel 13 months ago.  However, my Eos and Absolute EOS are pretty much always slightly elevated.  Anyone (Trey, Phil) explain that to me?

Thanks, and best to everyone!

Generally, anything that is "slightly" high or low is not a big deal.  Sometimes a certain level is normal for an individual, with or without CML.  Eosinophils (a type of myeloid WBC) become elevated mainly due to allergies.  If someone has persistent allergies, they will generally have a slightly elevated EOS (% and absolute).  You would also need to define "slightly".

Thanks, Trey. I wasn't really pressed about it, just wondering. Latest

counts, about a month ago, were Eos = 9 and Eos (Absolute) = 0.7. Judging

from the norm references, both look "reasonable," I think. One of the best

things for me about being on Sprycel has been my regular and quarterly blood

tests - they are very stable and within the norms. I'm sure that's part of

the reason that I've felt so much better on Sprycel. I must admit that I

haven't given up my nightly beers, either, and so far AST and ALT are

holding well. I keep my eye on those counts!

Thanks for your help!
