I have been reading the post about pcr values... I think I have it down now but to be sure.. My last pcr showed a value of  0.2 I sthis considered a 2 or 3 lor reduction?  How do you read a result that says 0.47? Again what log would that be?

Hi there,

I'm afraid that's not a question anyone can answer without more information.  Every lab has differenct numbers (unless they adjust to report on the international scale) and you can measure the amount of the reduction either against your own baseline (if they did a PCR at diagnosis) or the average baseline for the lab.

If you lab were reporting on the international scale (and that's a big if as most still aren't) then 0.2% would be about 2.7 log reduction, 0.47% about 1.35 log  (every ten fold reduction is one log).  You really need to ask your onc what the baseline is for your lab / what your lab considers a major molecular response to be able to put the numbers in context.

All the best

Phil
