i asked him if he ever gave me a kinaise mutationtest and he asked where i learned that at?  but he said no.  he doesnt think the gleevec is working well enough.  i think the pcr was 19 but hes says thats not good enough.  when i asked him questions about sprycel he said he didnt know any thing about it.  he said no to the tasigna cause of the black box warning for qt.  my paper says the phil. chromosome positive went from 95% to 19% and that the change is indicative of partial cytogenic response to therapy. these papers really confuse me and tell me nothing.

There is some good news in there, although your Onc is not worthy of his title.  Your FISH (I assume it was a FISH??) went from 95% down to 19%, which is quite good given the troubles you have experienced.  So you are responding to Gleevec, although somewhat slowly.  Given that slower level of response, you might want to find a new Onc so you can discuss switching to Sprycel, which would seem to be a good idea.  Overall you should be encouraged.
