My (fairly) local LLS chapter is having it's "Light the Night Walk" this Thursday evening. It will be the first I've  participated in it and for a "first timer" have raised over $1000 in donations! I setup a webpage and sent out emails to friends & family.Makes me pleased that I can help our organization and in turn help others.

Anyone else taking part?

PS I'll be walking in Harrisburg PA-any others here?

I am walking the Tempe Town Lake in AZ on 10/17

I also will be walking this year for the first time.  I started a team, named "Bad to the Bone" by my 13 year old son.

We've raised about $700.  My problem has been motivating my walkers to raise money.  They think that walking is all that is required of them.
