Prior lung issues and Sprycel

I've had the usual amount of coughs, colds and occasional asthma wheezing, in other words, pretty normal lungs. The body has a way of encapsulating latent TB but it can be reactivated if that system breaks down.
Has anyone experienced any prior lung issues and had an exacerbation of it once on Sprycel? Only wondering since the drug causes lung issues by itself.

I have a lung disease called hypersensitivity pneumonitis. It was originally caused by sleeping on a goose down pillow. The effect was to reduce the transfer of oxygen from my lungs into the bloodstream. I was in remission from that after we figured out the problem. It recurred about a year ago with no apparent cause. I have been on Sprycel for a month and my lungs are getting much better. I am apparently also allergic to CML. Thank you Sprycel !
Adverse Effect - At about week 6 of Sprycel sharp muscle pain that would start at 2 AM and last for about 4 hours. This lasted about 4 weeks and went away, thank goodness.

Gail,
What an interesting topic. I'm not originally from this state but I know there was a huge outbreak of histoplasmosis in this city in the 1950's. Many people still see evidence of that whenever they have chest x-rays. I don't know if there are any latency issues with it or not.
