Dr. Carl June, quoted in the article, is a pioneering medical researcher bringing immune therapy to the clinic in the treatment of various cancers including leukemia. His research is focussed on repairing the immune system so it recognizes cancer cells and kills them. The technique leads to a true cure.

When I asked him about CML - he told me that CML is very treatable and therefore not a high priority for this technique in comparison to other cancers, but ultimately, CML too will have this technology applied.

"Crispr" gene editing is a great advance.

It is very exciting.

Crispr is exciting, basically reprogramming the Human being, but scary at the same time just for that reason (what will those Mad Scientists come up with?).  ;)
