I have checked into that also, it is currently illegal to import generics from other countries, not sure exactly what would happen if they were to catch you. A lot of those sites are also very spotty, just don't know which one's you can trust. People used to drive to Canada and buy drugs there and take them back across the border, guess that is only helpful if you live near it though and I don't know if you can still do that or not.
A few of Obama's failures (he did have some successes) were related to this topic.

Not sure if Canada would operate like Australia in regard to something like Gleevec, here we have to get a script approved by the Government due to the large subsidy provided by the government.
