I've mentioned before that I'm always looking for things that might help me to feel better. A pharmacist friend shared this recipe with me and I've found it has helped me in several ways. I have one for breakfast with a cup of hot green tea every morning. I mix them up once a week (when I'm having a good moment) and then I have something for breakfast all week, even when I don't feel like putting anything together. Not seeing much in the way of energy yet, but I know there's a lot of nutrition in each one, and it has been a tremendous help with keeping things moving (if you know what I mean) and that is something I've had a really big struggle with since starting TKI. Not trying to turn this into a recipe forum, but just wanted to share in case it could help someone else.
Energy Bites
1 cup dry oats
1/2 cup almond butter (I just use peanut butter)
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Mix all ingredients and roll into bite size balls (I use a medium cookie scoop) and place into air tight container. Sometimes I refrigerate and sometimes I don't. Use your own judgement. No baking!!
