Help! I'm getting night sweats again.

Now, three nights in a row, I wake to my sheets soaked straight through. I may be paranoid, but I think my stomach is a little sensitive. Spleen?
I'm scheduled to see my oncologist may 15, with a blood test may 8. Should I call him and schedule earlier, like next week, or is this such a minor thing that I should just wait till may? I hate to jump the gun, especially since the sweats might disappear by then.
What happens if I "slip"?

"... after 5 years on Glivec I still get serious night sweats probably once or twice a month. Frightened me at first, as I had never had them before the onset of the CML and so I associated them with the disease, but they are just one of those weird things that are both a sympton of the disease and a side effect of the treatment."

The tension does slow down after a while, I blamed everything I could on the CML or the TKI the first year or so.
(Sometimes, it is just me.)
Glad Gerry helped.

Hi Goofball, Welcome to the joys of menopause. Ain't no tki that can help that. Us women folks need our hormones back.

Hi Pam,
I'm the same, don't have the Gleevec to blame anymore and never had the night sweats with CML.
I'm blaming it on summer or autumn, as it is technically still hot here.
Billie is probably right though. lol

Dom, I don`t get night sweats; they stopped when I started Gleevec after dsx in Feb. 2014. But in Oct. 2014 my onc upped my dosage fo600mg. from 400 mg to drop my Bcr/ abl. Well, it worked as I fell from 79% to 6% recently ;however my phosphorous has been dropping steadily to 2.3 as the lower range is at 3.0. My onc told me to eat more yoghurt and drink more milk ,so side-effects are inevitable!Recently, I have bloating in my stomach area and I believe it is water retention, but I wanted to know if anyone had this? In fact I have gained over 5 lbs. since I have been on the higher dose of Gleevec! Any advice?

My cholesterol dropped to low on the statin/Gleevec combination. I wound up going off the statin (I was on the lowest dose of statin) as I figured my liver had enough to deal with with the Gleevec.
I've been off Gleevec now for 16 months, cholesterol is back up, not quite high enough for them to start chasing me though.
