Just went for a regular monthly blood work today to my onc.  My WBC came back as 3.9K /mcL compared to 4.4K/mcl, 4.8K/mcl, etc. Value range is from 4-11k/mcl.  Is it too low?  Is it normal fluctuation? I am currently on sprycel 100mg for the last 6+ months.

Thanks

elvis

That's perfectly fine, IMO.  I was in the lower 3s (in the first few months of treatment) and my Onc wasnt concerned.  I wouldnt sweat it at all.

I lived below normal WBC for about 5 years.  Now barely at low normal.  Below normal is the TKI new normal.

After my treatments for AML 25+ years ago, my bone marrow has always run low counts. My WBCs are usually around 2.5K. Having a count outside the "normal" range is not a serious problem. It is only important to doctors when they don't know the cause. You know the cause, so just accept it as a new normal for you.
