Am I the only one that has been on all the major TKI meds? First I was on Gleevec, then Tasigna, then Sprycel and now it will be Bosutinib.

All due to severe

rashes...sigh...but the fight will continue.

My last try was 20mg Sprycel, severe rash within five days of starting.

I have cancer but it doesn't have me

Have you tried a flea collar?

Hi WW,

Have you seen a dermotologist? Maybe your rash isn't from a tki. ( It could be that cheap wine you drink out of a paper bag while you sit on a park bench). You never know where those benches have been!

So far only Gleevec and Sprycel (varying dosage), but considering change since even at 50mg still having discomfort in chest, trying to stick it out knowing that some side effects are inevitable and this isn't that bad, it's more that I keep waiting for it to turn into something more.  Hopefully it won't.  In my case I keep getting bad muscle pain with the drugs, again I guess it is just par for the course.  On one hand I want to try other drugs and see if I can find the perfect one, but then part of me says it is not a good idea jumping around with this stuff and if I can tolerate it I should just deal with it.  Not sure which one I would go to next, Dr thinks Bosutinib would be good fit, but I hear plenty of people on Tasigna who say they feel pretty good.  Just have to wait and see.  I didn't have much skin trouble with Gleevec, but with Sprycel I have an upper body rash, nothing terrible, doesn't itch so I don't care that much.

Sorry you have had such a tough go at it.  Bosutinib is supposed to have a good side effect profile, so hopefully this will be the one for you.  Let us know how you do, I am trying to keep tabs on everyone who goes on bosutinib to hear how they do with it.

Good luck on the Bosutinib.  I feel for you.  I'm sure that all of my work colleagues think that I have head lice.  I spend the entire day scratching my neck, scalp, ears.  . .I haven't tried a flea collar yet.  That may be my next step. . .
