Hi everyone,

Every so often I get excrutiating pain in my hands from the Gleevec.  Today (and yesterday) are "one of those days".  The Oxycondone takes the edge off a bit but this is the worst side effect I get from the Gleevec.  It feels like someone is stabbing me in the hand.

Hoping it passes soon!

I have never had anything like that while on G, sounds terrible.

Hope the side effect goes away for you soon.

Thanks, Teddy.  I am going to give it another day and if it does not subside, I will ask my oncologist for a short Gleevec "vacation".  He did this once before for 5 days and it really helped.
