anyone have any idea what this could be? I have something about the size of an egg, a little smaller, right above my right collarbone. It feels like water, its soft. I just noticed it yesterday because I kept ithcing it. there is not a bug bite mark there which is what my first thought was since I was outside all weekend camping and swimming in a lake. I have a rash on my face that also became worse and alot of mosquito bites. I did call Dr. yeaterday and the nurse said I should come in to have it looked at. So I am going in later today. Thanks

You should definitely get something like that checked out but given the camping, the face rash and other bug bites, it seems likely this would be related in some way.

I just came back from Dr. visit.  He is thinking its due to fluids shifting, and to watch it for changes.  I hate to overreact butI just want to be safe, I'm not used to having strange symptoms/side effects.

I also found out my test results while I was there. He said I had a major molecular response, I think it was a peripheral fish, pcr test. It said 1.3 percent compared to last time at dx 88 percent. I don't have the copies in front of me so I'm just remembering what I was told I think that means only 1.3 percent of the cells have the leukemia chromosome?  I need to stop worrying because it seems like everything is going to be fine and it sounds like Im doing good with sprycel and its working well.

It could still be from a bug bite.  Egg size is pretty big.  The "shifting fluids" thingy sounds odd to me.  Does it make a crackling sound when pressing on it (like trapped air)?

HI:  I never heard of Shifting Fluids.  Did your doctor explain what he meant?  The fact that you were camping before this started makes me think you got something.  I had a big lump on my collarbone, but it was hard not soft. It turned out to be a calcium deposit on the collarbone.  Its still there, and its almost 2 years.

I would keep an eye on it, and if it starts to bother you more then I would get it rechecked.

It does not make any sound when I push on it. Its soft and doesnt hurt, it itches a little. I can't remember what exactly the Dr. said, but I do know he mentioned sprycel and something about its known to cause problems with fluid or its known to do that with fluid. He said since its not tender or hard then it doesnt seem like a lymph node, and the other possible cause could be a blood clot but usually theres other swelling in the arm. If anything gets worse he will do an ultra sound to find out what it is.  I should have known better to not take more caution while being outdoors so much, I have read on here from others and also noticed how the skin is more sensative, but of course I have to find out the hard way. I'm still going to try camping again but will make sure I always have on bug spray and sunblock and sit in the shade.

I have had allergic reactions to bug bites (prob. mosquitoes) that grew about as big as an egg, but they were hardish. Is there a stinger mark in the middle or anywhere?  Best of luck.  Shifting fluids sounds strange.  I would want more of an explanation too.  Maybe better to see a dermatologist than an oncologist for this.

All the best,

Tedsey
