I plan to track my lab results and look at weekly variance along with graphs. However, I was curious if anyone has created these already and would like to share the?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Various people have done this, but it does tend to get very dull very quickly for most.  Most people's blood counts normalise in a very short period and then the CBC pretty much ceases to be relevant and you are just tracking 3 monthly FISH and/or PCR.  Unless you are one of the unlucky few who suffer with persistent dangerously low counts it really isn't worth the hassle - unless you really, really like doing graphs.

Wow, you actually made a database for it?  I just muddle along with Excel.

Phil is right. It's fun to watch stuff drop in the beginning, but then they stabilize and it becomes busy work to update it.

If I follow anything now, it's just a few main numbers.

Here is a link to some charts that I used several years ago. http://community.lls.org/thread/1936

I agree with everyone else. I set up an excel spreadsheet (after Gunner started talking about his) that tracks everything they do with my blood and marrow, from simple CBCs to BMBs and PCR results. Very boring usually, but now, since I'm off Sprycel for a PE it's interesting to go back and compare from when I was off Gleevec with liver toxicity. Gee, talk about OCD!

I can also make "8 x 10 color glossy graphs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one means" (A little tribute to Arlo)

DX 12/08; Gleevec 400mg; liver toxicity; Sprycel 100mg.; CCyR 4/10; MMR 8/10; Pleural Effusion 2/12; Sprycel 50mg. Maintaining MMR; 2/15 PCRU; 8/16 drifting in and out of undetected like a wave meeting the shore. Retired 12/23/2016! 18 months of PCRU, most recent at Mayo on 7/25/17 was negative at their new sensitivity reporting of 0.003.<p>

Hi John,

I created a spreadsheet that tracks lab results and has a chart for tracking trends. It also has formatting to call out high or low results. I don't see a way to upload an Excel file here. If you would like the spreadsheet, send me an email:

Cheers,
