HI all

I am so hoping this is just a mistake at my pharmacy.  I have to mail order from Curascrpt, a specialty pharmacy with ExpressScripts.

I was just told that Novartis told them Tasigna is on back order.  I'm hoping this is a mistake.....my doctor wrote the script for 30 days, and it comes packaged as a 28 day supply so that may be the problem.

Moment to vent:  AAARRRGGGHHH.  This pharmacy has already been hard to work with even though this is my first refill.

Now I will take a few deep breaths!

By the way, it was working great, numbers are all very good.....and the rash is manageable.

So, anyone having trouble getting Tasigna?

Lori

HI, Lori. . .since you go thru Curascripts, have you considered having them deliver it to your house?  I never had a problem with them delivering Gleevec or Sprycel.  They were great to work with.  You might want to give them a call.  You can get their number online if you don't have a Curascripts card.

Good luck.  I can't imagine how this is affecting your stress level.

Marnie,

Thanks for answering!  I've talked with them about 5 times just about this order.  I keep getting a different person who seems to be unable to find notes from the last conversation!  I'm so glad to hear you've had no trouble with them, maybe I'll learn the process better!

Especially thanks for the empathy!  I know I need to calm down, but it sure is hard!!

I haven't heard anything about this as a Tasigna user.  I am very lucky to be on their patient assistance program because I didn't have any insurance at the time of dx (just finished school at the age of 24) and they are very prompt with their deliveries, so I have a couple of months' worth.  I will let you know if I hear anything.

In fact, if you get very worried you could probably call Novartis and ask.  I don't know if it's confidential information but I've always found them to be extremely nice and helpful.

Lori- I get my Tasigna delivered to my house from Walgreewn Speciality Pharmacy. I just re-ordered this week & it will be delivered tomorrow. My script is also for one month but as we know the packaging is 28 days but has never been a problem. Also, it's not reported on the fda drug shortage list:

Thanks everyone!  It now appears this may have been a false alarm.  The doctor's office called them and says it really was a mix up with the 28-day vs. 30 day issue.   GRRR

I really have in the past been good a expediting.  But, for now they told the doc it will ship.

Thanks for the 'shortage list' link, that's really a good resource!
