Hi all,

I was DX in early August 2011 and have been on Tasigna since 8/15.  I just got results from my docs nurse that said I was undectable for BCR ABL.  Does this mean I am in remission?  Should I have a PCR test as well...... I am still trying to learn whats what with these tests.

Any input is welcome

Kerri

Are you sure this wasn't from a PCR?  Usually the FISH measures in how many cells have the Philadelphia Chromosome, but usually when we say BCR-ABL we mean the PCR test.  In any case, a negative FISH means you are in Complete Cytogenic Remission, which is GREAT!  Especially that quickly.  Congrats!

Thanks for answering Taylor.  So I still need to achieve Molecular Remission as well....right? And that is by which test?
