This was very interesting, because when I was trying to get into the STI-571 Trial in New York in 2000 I had to wait because they did not have enough of the drug.  I had to keep calling the doctors office who was doing the trial, and they kept telling me they would call me back. I started calling in late Aug. and got in there in Oct.  I did not give up, and they finally knew who I was.  She told me she would give me the appointment, but not sure how long I would have to wait to actually get the drug.  I started it on Oct. 25, 2000.  The only thing I was on at the time was Hydrea from April of 1999 till I started the Gleevec Trial.

Susan, I am so glad you got into the trial---you are such a good role model for all of us to follow & give us so much hope that we can live with CML. Thank you so much for all the information & inspiration you give!! You & everyone here are always in my prayers! granny d
