Woo hoo, 0% leukemia cells in a BMB last Tuesday! Only my second BMB. Onc called it remission, albeit temporary. My paperwork is now being faxed to our transplant center in town; I hope for an appointment really soon to get the ball rolling on a match. While I am not looking forward to the 30-day ordeal of the transplant, I want this over with and I want my life back to semi-normal, whatever that is.

So, it was a really, really good day!!! Blessings to all who share here. I will keep you updated.

Good for you, quiltdiva!  So glad to hear it.  Been praying for you, Vitamin G and BJ.  Hope you continue to do just as well.

Traci

P.S.  I'll bet you make some fabulous quilts.  I saved my girls baby clothes - the favorites pieces - and plan to make baby quilts for their children some day.  (Of course, I first have to learn HOW to quilt!)  I just hope the fabric lasts that long.  Any idea how I should store it that would help??

Leukemia reply - I have an initial appointment with the transplant center the 24th of Oct. Woo hoo! Going into hospital after for a week of chemo. But that's OK. I will be on the list and in the system. Happy dance! Feeling just fine in this "temporary" remission.

Quilting reply - Store the fabric in fabric, like a pillow case or some fabric bag. Do not store in plastic. The clothes need to be clean, so stains don't grow or mold.

Now, find a sewing or quilting store in your area and sign up for lessons, if you are able. These fabrics would make a great little quilt, but you have a little work to do before you get there. Even if you just pieced the top with the treasured fabrics, you might have someone else quilt for you for a small fee. Best wishes on this project.
