Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give an update on things. I got back from the oncologist today; we did a bone marrow biopsy on the 6th of this month to reaffirm my 6-month FISH and PCR back in August, which were FISH negative and 0.003 PCR (3.1xx log reduction), and just check out the state of the marrow.
Anyway, I got the results and I am PCRU! In just a few weeks between the PCR blood draw and the biopsy, all the evidence is gone. Marrow looks great as well aside from some somewhat expected fibrous tissue. I read the biopsy report (grabbed myself a copy) and there were a few things I didn't necessarily recognize, but nothing of concern according to the report.
Tasigna is quite a powerful drug and I'm certainly thankful for all the factors in my life which have helped me through everything that I've been going through. My onc mentioned the possibility of drug reduction, but he made it clear it wouldn't be just yet by any means, which makes me pretty happy. I'm not ready to change a good thing yet, obviously; I'm gonna hold onto this for as long as possible.
