How often do you all have CBC's taken as well as a metabolic panel?

I know PCR's are usually done every 3 months.  I wonder if CBC's have a protocol as well?

I have all of those every 3 months, CBC, CMP, and PCR.  However, I have not yet reached PCRU.  If something goes awry, like an uptick in PCR, then I've had CBCs more frequently.  Once you've maintained PCRU for a time, the tests are done less frequently.  Check the NCCN guidelines.  I would think that one would continue with CMP quarterly, to monitor for liver issues.

I am in the first year of treatment and almost to CCyR.  I am advised to get CBC and CMP once a month.  Then every 3 months PCR.  Once the marrow is clean for a while I will work up to every 3 months blood testing but that is at least another year out for me.  I really think the schedule requirements are more based on where you are on the response journey, I need to be monitored more than someone who is PCRU etc..

Just had one today.  Last one was 3 weeks ago.  Next one is in 2 months were I get my first  PCR/Fish done since diagnosis.

My husband gets it weekly, but he has ALL.

BTW, if I had a wild weekend and consumed too much wine, I might consider going in "on demand" just to get a CMP to make sure my liver counts are okay. <wink>

Hi:  My CBC is every 3 months, and then at my 6 months I do both the CBC and the PCR.  I guess it depends where you are at to be doing the PCR every 3 months.
