More great news on the targeted therapy front and FDA approval ... crizotinib targets the abnormal anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene, which is directly linked to a rare form of lung cancer:

Cancer therapy sure is expensive stuff.  I believe Pfizer is charging > $100,000 a month ... in hopes that cancer medications like this one will help replace revenues that will be lost when Lipitor goes generic.
