I've been experiencing some symptoms of what could be anxiety, and that's what I thought it was, but it was also suggested to me to check my thyroid. I don't feel like an anxious person and I never have been, until these sort of bouts of anxiety and panic started to hit me at random times. I also get hot flashes while feeling agitated, the heat zaps the energy out of me sometimes, etc...which could be anything, from real anxiety to hyperthyroid symptoms. My question is, can TKIs cause hyperthyroidism? I was under the impression it was only hypothyroidism.
I know that my thyroid was checked right after I began treatment, but subsequently I think my panels have just been chem 14. I will be calling my onc's office in a bit when they open to check. Thanks!
