Hi.....was desperate last night and took an old vicodin.....don't know how to spell it.......what should we take until the office opens tomorrow????? Thanks, Lala

HI:  Toothaches are so horrible,and their are so many different tricks to try.  Someone told me they used a clove on the tooth.  I guess it might depend if its a open cavity.  Maybe just some extra strong Tylenol or Advil might get you through the  night.  Hope someone else has some sound advice for you.

My mom had a tooth the docs couldn't remove (long story).  She used to put a quarter of an aspirin (or a baby aspirin) directly on the tooth.  That helped some.  Just don't use it regularly, since the high acidity can eat away the enamel of the tooth.
