Nearly 6 years ago I was dx with CML and without Glivec I might not have been here to see my beautiful daughter get her English A Level results, She got A* in maths, further maths and physics, the highest possible. She has been accepted to study Mathematics at Imperial College of Science and Medicine in London and I am incredibly proud of her.

It makes any side effects worth wile.

Congratulations on your 6-year success! Congratulations to your daughter on her current and future successes. To have someone in the family who can explain your PCR results to you - priceless!

DX 12/08; Gleevec 400mg; liver toxicity; Sprycel 100mg.; CCyR 4/10; MMR 8/10; Pleural Effusion 2/12; Sprycel 50mg. Maintaining MMR; 2/15 PCRU; 8/16 drifting in and out of undetected like a wave meeting the shore. Retired 12/23/2016! 18 months of PCRU, most recent at Mayo on 7/25/17 was negative at their new sensitivity reporting of 0.003.<p>

How wonderful is that! Congratulations! Here is to a long life of experiencing your daughter's successes. There is nothing more wonderful than time loving and being loved by your children. Watching them learn and grow is a total thrill, (I'm sure no matter what age). My oldest goes to pre-school next month! I am so grateful to be alive for it!

Congratulations on your 6 years, and to be able to experience all these good things going on in the life of your daughter. You will be here to enjoy even more for a long time to come I am sure. The Gleevec has been very good to me now for 11 years this Oct. So keep that in mind for your future plans.
