I may have asked this before...but I don't remember.  Maybe it's the Dasatinib?  Haha!

Anyway, why do side effects cycle?  Some of my side effects from Sprycel hang around most of the time, but most of my side effects will go away for a while and then come back for a while...ie: bone pain, itchy scalp, face outbreak, etc...  Some of them I do think are exacerbated by my menstrual cycle and are hormonally involved, but others, I don't see that same trend with and I know that the gentlemen tend to have cyclical side effects as well.

Any thoughts?

I'm completely guessing, but I have heard that there are cycles in the bone marrow.  I'm guessing there is some kind of correlation between production and the more noticeable the side effects.

That is a really good question.  I too find that I cycle through the Gleevec side effects but most of them seem to have no noticable pattern (except for the worst of the fatigue that comes after Aunt Flo vists ).   I would imagine Lucky's explanation would be in the ballpark since we all notice the cycles even though we are on different meds.
