Oh lord yes! Muscle pain is my number two side effect right behind fatigue and sometimes I wonder if it is the muscles that are making me fatigued. Mostly the legs, but certainly get it in the back. Exercise can help when I push myself to do it. It actually helps a lot but it hurts when I start out. By the end I feel pretty good and it lasts a good part of the day. When I skip more then one day of exercise the pain starts to get worse, especially at night when they kind of throb. Had a long talk with my doctor about it yesterday. There isn't a ton she had for it. I'm going to look into acupuncture to see if I can get anywhere with that.

I ache all over all the time, but I also have Arthritis in my spine. I have degnerative disc disease for over 20 years. I do not think all of my pains are from my Gleevec. I have a combination of things, but I do get the leg pain. The spasms that I get in my hands and feet I know are from the Gleevec. I also have Arthritis in my knees. To try to separate what pain is from what is very hard to do for me.

Yes! I do a lot of walking and I still hurt but I make myself anyway. I'm afraid if I stop moving, this disease will run right over me. I also have ortho issues which adds to it but I really do try to push myself. You might try some over the counter pain reliever for muscle aches.

I join in the chorus of "Yes!" It sounds like most of us have muscle and back pain. Mine is in my hands, back and legs. I get regular massages (light, not deep tissue) which has helped a great deal. The massage therapist shared with me that light massages release your pain relieving and stress relieving hormones. Hang in there!
