Hello Cml clubbers,

Just wanted to share that last month was my 7yr cancaversary and I actually forgot it. It was kind of awesome that I forgot it because thats how much better my treatment has gotten. I am on Sprycel now, for those who remember me, I was on gleevec 800mg and Sprycel is so much better. Other then the chest pains, its been much easier on me. My onc has me down to only once a year for BMB! No more every 3 months.

Its been a while since I have been on here, and everything is so new, really awesome. LLS and the internet in generall has really exploded since 7yrs ago, its wonderful all the new info available to us Cmlers today compaired to yesteryears. Loving all the new changes on the site and I hope everyone is doing well on their treatments.

  Love and Prayers to everyone,

  Tina

OMG I did the same thing. My 6 year cancerversary was April 8. I was with my mom in NYC at an event with Dr. Mauro and I looked at her and said, hey I forgot about my 6th year!!!! She just said I DIDN'T,  I just didn't want to remind you. So I guess it's something to actually get through THAT day and maybe ----------just maybe, it WON'T be the first thing on our minds when we wake up.

Tina,

Funny you should mention it.  I just realized my "anniversary", once I have one, will be April 6th, my brother's bday.  I called him that night when I was in the hospital and they thought I had APML.  No wonder he sounded so shocked when I told him.  He was probably expecting me to say "Happy Birthday"!

Congrats to you on reaching such a great milestone!

Hello everyone,

I am glad I'm not the only one who has to be reminded by my doctor when my "7yrs" was due to come lol. I am now nicknaming this year the 7year cancer itch! haha. Hope to see you all at the 7+ year mark too, we cancer pails have to stick around for the long haul.

Have a wonderful week,

   Tina

To Random: I have been on Sprycel since 2006 and in some ways it is/has treated me better then Gleevec. Every one is different, but for me I do experince chest pains (every 6-8 months) They last about two, sometimes three weeks. They are quiet horrible at first, I have been to the hospital everytime I have gotten them with no explaination why or what they are but I am convienced its not gas. I have a huge tollarance for pain and this feels horrible when I breath (or dont) like someone is stabbing me in my chest. I do feel all the other side effects that come with just being a cancer patient (tired, diarea, vomiting, nausea, constipation, brusing) they all come and go.

Dear Tina,

Thanks for your reply.

Question: what is the cromosome percent value after 5 years on Sprycell?

Thanks!
