I had my 2nd BMB done on this past Thursday and let me tell you, it was awesome!!! I know, how in the world can a BMB be awesome but from my last expierence, it was completely night and day. On my first BMB, they gave me a local anesthetic which gives you hardly any relief along with a doctor who doesn't perform BMB on a regular basis, spells lots of pain, limping around for a week, and a horrible expierence.

My new cancer center and doctor set me up to go to sleep for 15mins so they can do the procedure and let me tell you this, when I woke up, outside of the pain medication I was given through an IV, I felt great and wasn't limping around and had no problems and was back on my feet the same day with no problems at all with the exception of a little tenderness to the touch and thats all.

I would highly encourage everyone when you have to get this done to make sure the doctor conducting the procedure has done a lot BMB and asked to be knocked out with proponol, you will be so glad you went that route. If they don't have much expierence in doing BMB, run like hell and get someone who has a lot of expierence in doing them, let that doctor handle the BMB.

Unfortuantely, I have to get 1 more done in 3 months but at that time is to determine I have reached a Complete Cytogentic Response which will be awesome..Anywho, that is all...I am still new to this so please don't mind me if I start different discussions. The better I understand every concept to maintaing this animal, the better.

That is wonderful, I just had my forth and at the Huntsman they will not give me anything besides the lidocaine, I seem to tolerate them but would love the kinder gentler version of BMB at the present the Huntsman Center is my closest option.
