Hi,

I recently went for urine lab test after taking Glivec 400 mg for 3 months. The urine showed weak positive in protein, Urobilirubin and Ketone detected in my urine. Worried if CML or Glivec could cause harm to my kidney and liver failure... Is this the initial sign of organ failure.. Dead worried...

If you are looking for everything to be completely normal while having CML and taking Gleevec you will worry continually.  A "weak positive"anything is rarely a cause for concern.  You are taking a drug that causes the liver to work somewhat harder, so higher levels of certain things may happen.  And a single urine test does not tell a story unless the results are extreme.  You need to see a longer term pattern.

I can't answer your questions, but I think you are ways off from organ failure.  The body can be rather resilient and over time often adjusts to new environment.  Also have to realize that "normal" levels are not always functional or survivable levels.  My parents can't take a single medical test without something coming back out of whack.  Granted they are older, but my point it they just keep plugging along.  There will be variations and some things are more serious than others.  You have to see how things progress over time.  I wouldn't worry too much just yet.
