Hello CML community,

 

I was diagnosed with CML in May 2017. 

 

I am personally doing well with imatinib treatment. =)

 

I am looking for data/research on how long someone can remain in CML chronic phase (time duration), before the CML escalates into phase 2 (accelerated phase)

The CML TKI drugs prevent disease escalation/advancement for about 92-95% of all patients.  The drugs put the disease into a state of continual low level chronic phase.  The main issue is getting through the first 2 years post-diagnosis without acquiring drug resistance, and after 2 years it is extremely rare, and even if resistance to one drug occurs there are several more drugs which usually will resolve that problem.  As for the research, it is more about statistics than research.  Here are just a few sources of information:
