Received my Kaiser Notice of Changes for 2018.
The 2018 cost of Kaiser Senior (Medicare) Advantage will increase $8 to $90/mo..
That, coupled with an expected $23/mo. increase (for me) in Medicare Part B to $134/mo., will offset the expected 2018 Social Security COLA increase (to be announced on Oct. 13).
Edited to add: Medicare's open enrollment period for 2018 begins on Oct. 15, 2017, and ends on Dec. 7, 2017.

At the earliest opportunity, and whenever possible, lower your TKI dosage; TKIs are toxic drugs and the less we take longterm the better off we are going to be ... this is especially true for older adults.
In hindsight I should have started my dosage reduction two years earlier; it might have helped minimize some of the longterm cumulative toxic effects of TKIs that I am beset with.
longterm side-effects Peripheral Artery Disease - legs (it's a bitch); continuing shoulder problems, right elbow inflammation. GFR and creatinine vastly improved after stopping Gleevec.
Cumulative Gleevec dosage estimated at 830 grams
Taking Gleevec 400mg an hour after my largest meal of the day helped eliminate the nausea that Gleevec is notorious for.

I have signed up for Kaiser Senior advantage plus beginning in December when my Medicare starts. My premium will be $127 to kaiser, and an additional $44 per month to cover dental, vision and hearing. You're luck you got in when you did, buzz!
Gail, the cost of Kaiser Senior (Medicare) Advantage varies substantially, state-to-state, county-to-county.
Your cost is by far the highest that I am aware of.

For most Social Security recipients, the 2% 2018 COLA increase will be offset by the Medicare Part B cost increase to $134/mo. ... the average SS recipient, having been protected by the hold harmless clause, are currently paying only $109/mo. ... that will change in January, 2018.
My Medicare Advantage program, Kaiser Senior Advantage, also increased another $8/mo.
