I have been having worsening knee pain going up and down stairs for a couple of years. The chiropractor says I am no where near needing a knee replacement but suggested Supartz FX. Waiting to see if insurance will pay. Anyone have an opinion on the shots?

I don't have experience on that particular shot, but maybe check on RFA.. Radio frequency ablation. I have it done to my neck and back. Basically burns the nerves in any given area to relieve pain. Nerves do regenerate but that takes lots of time. Sometimes upwards of 2 years relief if the dr hits the spot just right. The shortest relief I've had was closer to 8 months. Usually lasts 12 to 14 months. And sometimes longer.

Diagnosed in September 2011. Tried one year of Sprycel. Had great response. Became undetectable in a few months. Changed to Tasigna hoping for less side effects. Self medicated myself down to 20% dose and held for 3 years before becoming detectable again. It has been a journey that has helped me realize what life is about! I am all about a balanced life. I firmly agree with my decision to lower my dose. What is life if you aren't living? Mine will never be the way it was, but it is going to be as good as I can make it! Drs PRACTICE medicine, we can guide our dr to help us with a better life! Don't settle until it's acceptable to you!

Is it just me?  When I see the title of the thread my brain reads it as SuperFarts.  And yes, I had them with Gleevec.  Porcelain busting quality.  Butt I never had them re-injected into my knee or anywhere else.  Just sayin'

Doesn't matter now because the insurance company considered it experimental treatment. Will grin and bare it, just like the superfarts.
