I think you and I would get along great. Lol.

I feel like Tasigna toasted my vision. Might have just been blood pressure, but my night vision went to crap (and stayed there) I have to squint to see things clearly now, and I had even had temporary visual black outs when bending over to tee up a golf ball while on the drug. Minimal activity seemed especially strenuous for some reason.

I think our fears and paranoia sometimes dwarf the burden of the disease.

I couldn't agree more haha. Hopefully some day we can stop thinking about it. This week I had my 3 month checkup and actually completely forgot about the appointment and almost missed it. I had a lot of other stuff going on some good some bad but I guess its a good sign that hopefully eventually I will rarely think about CML anymore.

Glad you got them checked and everything is good. A friend of mine let the flashes go on for too long and wound up in hospital a couple of times getting her eyes lasered to correct the retinal tears.

Not exactly on topic but this is my problem with eye issues.

On 11/23/15 I woke at 2 am to excruciating pain in the back of my eye. My wife drove me to the ER who ran an examination and said to make an appointment with an  Opthalmology specialist asap. For several months prior to this I was experiencing color distortion and light levels greatly affected my vision.

The Opthalmologist found the following after several tests. Retinal hemorrhages iritis, and neovasculation consistent with ocular ischemic syndrome. His vascular disease is unchanged based on discussions with his vascular surgeon. This condition is a combination of his vascular disease and his CML as this entity can lead to sludging and venous stasis exacerbating the ischemic disease to the point of creating the severe signs and symptoms that he now manifests. He has required multiple anti vascular endothelial growth factor intraocular injections and panretinal photocoagulation sessions and will most likely need more treatments in the future.

Thankfully we found help quickly as this condition indicated that I was not receiving adequate blood flow to my eye and new veins were forming to allow more blood flow to the eye.  This new growth would have lead to severe vision loss if untreated. I have some vision loss which cannot be corrected.

Ocular migraines can cause flashes of light rotating around the edge of your eyes.

I had that on Gleevec about 8 years in.

Chemo also takes a toll on the eyes, teeth,....

I am 60 and just had cataract surgery due to 10 years of chemo. He said 60 is young for that.

Now I have floaters,......

I had about 6 eye bleeds on the Gleevec.

I am on Tasigna now.

I think that the chemo does change many things in our bodies....it just does.
