Trey. . . I just had to post this.

We had a moose stroll across our yard today, no kidding.  I kept an eye out for any buffalo that might be following but didn't see one.  Maybe it will come along tomorrow. . .

Oh my, that is so cool! I've always wanted to see a wild moose out in its own environment. The closest I've seen is up in Maine at a wildlife rehab center where they were giving them medical help until they were healthy enough to be released back into the countryside. Thanks for sharing this! Where do you live?

Hi, Melanie. .

We live just outside of Salida, Colorado, which is about 2.5 hours southwest of Denver.  We have a herd of 9 antelope that visit us regularly, but we were surprised to see the moose yesterday.

Marnie, that's just amazing. Didn't know they were even in Colorado. We have a trip planned next year that will take us through your beautiful state...maybe we'll get lucky and see a Moose along the way!
When I lived in the White Mountains in northern Arizona, we also had a heard of antelope and elk that would come and drink water from our little lake. Of course somehow they always knew when it was hunting season and would disappear for a while. ๐Ÿ˜œ Just love observing wildlife in its natural habitat.

Somehow the moose reminds me of that song "Lookin' for love in all the wrong places..."
