I just wanted to wish our vets a Happy Veteran's Day. I know this is a day early, but I plan to sleep in on this federal holiday. Thank you for your service to our country.

:P What do you bet I still go to the mailbox tomorrow.

As a veteran of Iraq and current military member, I thank you for this post.  It's an honor to wear the uniform.  To my fellow veterans, I wish you peace.

To all of you, we are veterans of a different sort as we fight the fight with with CML.  I thank you all for the support since I joined this board after my diagnosis just about a year ago.

I know you don't usually announce yourselves as veterans, but it often comes out in the question posed, "Could this be why I have CML?

I am very aware that the freedoms I enjoy today have come at a very high price by our men and women in the armed forces. Thank you for your service!

Link to Veteran's Disability Benefits Questionnaire re: hematological malignancies. Thought this may be of help to someone here in our little corner of the CML world.

Never in anytime in history has a country been as free as America.
I pray it can be preserved. We are blessed.
May God bless America and the protectors of this country.

Well said, Romo. Our son goes to basic in January, so I know I'll be on my knees. We are, indeed, truly blessed to live in this great country. I wish all citizens would appreciate and be grateful for what we have.
