It would be your eosinophils and basophils affected by allergy. Neutrophils with infection. You could do an internet search for pollen count for your area, that may tell you what pollen counts are high if you have a pollen allergy.

I suffer from allergies year-round, and I use Flonase and take an antihistamine for it. That's what I did before I developed CML, and I still do it. Some days are worse than others, but I just grin and bear it....
Dx: Sudden severe anemia detected 07/2011, followed by WBC spike. CML Dx 02/2012.
Rx: 03/2012-Gleevec400. Reduced 02/2013 to Gleevec300 due to side effects (low blood counts).
Response: PCR-Und within 7 mo. on G400. Maintained MMR4-MMR4.5 on G300. PCR-Und since 02/2016.

I also deal with my seasonal allergies the same way I did before, no problems.

Your WBC will respond as required to meet the need even if generally low. EOS and sometimes BAS will rise to battle allergens. EOS and BAS are normally a very small percentage of total WBC and are only manufactured in significant numbers when they are needed.

My allergies appear to be significantly more sensitive since I began Sprycel. I'm taking more antihistamine than I ever have in my life and still suffering more symptoms than usual. Has anyone else had similar experiences?
