Hi all - I was diagnosed with CML on 3/2015 from a blood test - I was put in Sprycel- on 1/2016 I was switched to Tasigna because of the side effects of Sprycel- I have never reached MMR - my numbers go up slightly and then go down slightly but I have never been below .610 - I have never had a BMM in the over one year I have dealt with this disease - should I insist on one or am I just asking for something I don't need - thanks

If you have never had a bone marrow aspiration (don't need a biopsy) you should have one. It will show you (and your doctor) the state of your bone marrow and whether there are other issues going on. Did you reach FISH = zero? i.e. CCyR ...

Caution - bone marrows are not fun, but get it done.

Diagnosed 11 May 2011 (100% FiSH, 155% PCR)

with b2a2 BCR-ABL fusion transcript coding for the 210kDa BCR-ABL protein

Sprycel: 20 mg per day - taken at lights out with Quercetin and/or Magnesium Taurate

6-8 grams Curcumin C3 complex.

2015 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

2016 PCR: < 0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

March        2017 PCR:     0.01% (M.D. Anderson scale)

June          2017 PCR:     "undetected"

September 2017 PCR:     "undetected"

Get a Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy, and a new Oncologist who knows something about CML.
