I'm halving a moose and buffalo flashback.....

I thought I'd drop by and see how you were all doing. I'm still pootling along on 200mg Glivec and wishing I could retire.
Speaking of hats, Marnie, last year my employer was pushing everyone to include a picture on their outlook profile at work and as it was only a tiny little thumbnail I used the only one I had to hand... Fast forward to this February when I had to come over to our New Jersey office for a week long workshop. Imagine my surprise when I found they'd grabbed everyone's outlook picture to create security passes for the building. Apparently quite a lot of people had been looking forward to meeting me!

That's a great story! If only my driver's license picture was as awesome as your hat picture!
I highly recommend retirement, though right now, I can't do much of anything, as I recover from a separated shoulder. Trials motorcycle mishap.
No moose and buffalo out here at the new house, but the deer and rabbits are decimating everything I've planted. I haven't yet figured out how to outsmart them. Maybe hire some swashbuckling squirrels to keep them at bay?

The obvious solution is to stop planting veggies and eat venison and rabbit instead. I have a very nice rabbit casserole recipe if you need one.
Really sorry to hear about your shoulder. I had a harpist at my wedding so your niece is definitely missing a treat.

Herodotus is available. He is seen here doing what he does:
(NOTE: It is also a good visual on the "halving" issue discussed earlier)

Gah! So much for hiring the squirrels. That is disgusting!
Besides, swashbucklers always wear a jerkin, sword belt, and hat with a feather. Herodotus is obviously low class.

Hi, PhilB,
I'll tell you all about retirement in January! I'm certainly hoping it's all Marnie is bragging about.
