It looks like all are still alive except Tim Holcomb and Dr Richard Rockefeller. Dr Rockefeller died in a plane crash and Tim Holcomb died due to complications after a transplant. He was treated successfully for nine years before he became resistant to the CML medications.

Regarding Tim Holcomb:

"Tim was diagnosed with chronic myloid leukemia on May 12, 2003. He faced the grotesque cancer monster with grace and trust in God's plan for his life. He was on chemotherapy for nine years until his leukemia became stronger, resistant to the different drugs and formed mutations. A stem cell transplant from his brother Kevin occurred on Valentine's Day, but the CML relapsed."

I wonder if he was taking any of the TKI's, particularly Gleevec?

Diagnosed 11 May 2011 (100% FiSH, 155% PCR)

6-8 grams Curcumin C3 complex.

Yeah I wish we could find out more information. Several second generation drugs were out the year he passed. I wonder what his PCR results looked like through the years. It is sad, I wish the transplants weren't so scary. His brother was a perfect match and it still didn't work. He was also relatively young. The thought of my family going through that is tough to think about.

I hate cancer.

That's it, I'm not cutting down on the Gleevec. Whenever I see someone on TV with severe edema around their eyes, I wonder if they have CML. Someone from his doctor's office gave the info about Ryan O'Neal to the tabloids. I think there are more celebrities that have it and don't share the information.

I've been doing cannibis (legal) for years for stress and sleep, also at college did every recreational drug known to man, still wonder if this caused it. Not watching my diet at the same time.

Last CMC showed liver enzymes elevated, went to a good Naturopath and he recommended 4 Tumeric, 10,000 mg Vitamen D, and 3 milk thistle (silymarin) daily. Also use One<p>Day Detox Dandeloin tea, and Nettle Tea and a slice of ginger every day...in two months liver tests were below normal.Janis

Always scary to hear about someone taking the medicine for that long and than having resistance or a mutation.  Hopefully the newer drugs coming in the future will prevent that.
