I had my urologist at MD Anderson (seeing him for checkup from previous kidney stone) add PSA test to my normal regular blood test for CML. Test result came back and it was at 9.2 and has me totally freaked out. Digital exam revealed no abnormalities, but this high PSA has me scared to death. I'm only 38 years old, but my dad had prostate cancer. Urologist wants to redo blood test at the end of the month, but I'm going to be a nervous wreck until then.

Don't worry too much. My husband has had elevated, fluctuating PSA's for years and two biopsies that were negative. Also an MRI last August which still could not find anything. His PSA is currently 11.2.

I understand how you are feeling I went through similar situation. Which tki drug are you taking?

Gleevec 600mg. Just got my latest PCR and it was .01% MD Anderson scale which equates to around .0035 IS.
