Hey Mr. Tee!

So..... (me being not as smart as the average bear) you're saying the results of that Phase I trial we were talking about before is coming out tomorrow?  And are they talking about a whole med TKI for people like us who lost results with Sprycel and had to switch to Tasigna?  Or people who don't get results from Sprycel or Tasigna?  Sorry, I feel so stupid about all this, but it is who I am.  I would rather ask the stupid questions and gain some information than not bother asking.

Also, have you started your Tasigna yet?  Could you please look at the new post I just put up and respond?

Thanks,

Golly, this would be so great if it pans out, since what Trey said about it was the most encouraging news I've heard in awhile - it fits in the lock in a different/tighter place and doesn't hit all those other places that give us the side effects.  Even if it didn't deliver any degree of stem cell killing property, it would be preferable to be on for the long haul.  If it could solve the fatigue, wow, wouldn't that be great?  (And, personally, I would REALLY like to return to my own eyes of old, and get rid of these Trump-like toad puffy lids.)

Dx July 2009 on routine physical.  WBC 94.  Started Gleevec 400 mg Sept 2009.  MMR at 2yrs.  Side effects (malaise, depression/anxiety, fatigue, nausea, periorbital edema) never improved.  Kidney issues developed because of Gleevec.  Switched to Sprycel 70 mg in Aug 2011.  Above side effects disappeared or improved.  Have been MR3.5 - 4.5 ever since.  Two untreated pleural effusions followed by one treated by stopping Sprycel Jan 2017.  After 9 weeks, PCR showed loss of MMR; re-started Sprycel at 50 mg and in 3 months was back to <0.01% IS.  Pleural effusion returned within a couple of months, same as before (moderate, left side only).  Stopped Sprycel 50 mg for 12 weeks; pleural effusion resolved.  At about a monthoff the drug, PCR was 0.03; at 11 weeks it was 2.06 - lost CCyR? Have returned to 50 mg Sprycel for 3 weeks, intending to reduce to 20 mg going forward.

I just want this new medicine released already, sounds a lot better than any of the current medications available.  I wonder how long it could take to see it on the market?

It seems like if you meet the requirements you would also be searching for a BMT match as well.
