Is anyone on Gleevec NOT adversely affected by sun exposure? Just wondering if that's one of the symptoms I *may* get or one I definitely will. I've got a beach vacation planned for August and wondering if I should cancel it? Thx!

A very high percentage have increased sensitivity to sun. The degree to which people are affected varies greatly.
You should experiment with various sun screens prior to your trip. If you go on your trip, limit your exposure to sun and be prepared with an effective sun screen.

Never cancel the good stuff, just go prepared.

My first trip to the beach after dx, I developed cold sores all the way around my mouth and was very sick. I've gone several times since then loaded with SPF 50 and zinc for my lips.I agree with the others. Go and have fun, but go armed.
