Hi Trey, Scuba and Everyone,

I had blood work  done June 3/15. I received a copy of the results and I was very surprised to see that the Hematologist order an NRBC (Nucleated Red Blood Cell) The result reads NRBC percent 0 /100 WBC.

This is very good, but I am not dying. Why did he ordered the test? Thank you for your opinion.

No good reason.  Probably thinks you should be at MMR during the first year, but that is an unrealistic expectation.

Functional red blood cells (RBC) do not have a nucleus.  If RBCs in the peripheral blood have a nucleus, that is essentially blast cells in the peripheral blood, which is generally not good.  But for you it was a wasted test.
